                         ASUU Rejects Plans Of Hiking Of University Fees By FG              The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has rejected the hiking of school fees of university students as proposed by Dr Wale Babalakin, the chief government negotiator in the ASUU/Federal Government renegotiation exercise. Prof. Lawan Abubakar, the Bauchi Zonal Coordinator of the Union made the disclosure at a press conference in Jos, the Plateau State capital. Abubakar said, “One of the major issues our union wishes to bring to public domain is the wild idea of sharing the cost of education between the government and parents proposed by Dr. Wale Babalakin. This idea of sharing the cost of education since government alone cannot fund education, and that parents need to pay for it too.      “He proposed a minimum of N350, 000 as tuition fee for undergraduate students of Arts and Humanities, and N500, 000, for those in Sciences. “Our union rejected the proposal ba

Suspected Baby          Snatcher Escapes Being Set Ablaze In Lagos         A member of a 3-man gang that specializes in stealing babies, met his Waterloo, today, at Showimo bus stop, Ojo, Lagos State.  It was gathered that the suspect and his gang members attempted to snatch a baby from a woman, who they nearly strangled to death in the process. However, passersby took notice of what was happening and intervened, nabbing one, while the two others escaped. The suspect was subsequently subjected to jungle justice and was only saved from being set ablaze, by the timely intervention of the police.

                                            Sad day in Adeniyi hostel room 104 (FUTA)             On the 10 TH of the month September was made to be a sad day to all the students living inside the room which a thief manage to get inside (adeniyi room 104), when the room members are asleep. The stranger park all the gadgets which includes; five phones with their chargers, two laptop with their chargers and ID cards (which was later saw at the front of Jadesola). The room member who were the victim of the incident, were unaware till the thief manage to escape. The hostel portal that investigated the case said that; for the problem to be solved, they should involve the police men early for tracking and thorough investigation of the case before it is too late. Presidential Team Visits Injured NAF Pilot After Plane Crash In Abuja (Photos)                           The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity. Garba Shehu and others are pictured commiserating at the Defence Intelligent Agency (DIA) Hospital in Abuja with an injured pilot of the Air Force fighter jet which crashed on Katampe hill earlier today. The pilot is said to be responding to treatment. Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family of the Air Force officer, Sqn Ldr Baba Ari that died at the final rehearsal for the 58th Independence Anniversary.
